The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art needed a company to install and remove a temporary sculpture exhibit, created by Hector Zamora, on their Roof Garden and Nicholson & Galloway was selected for the work. The sculpture stands at 11 feet tall and 100 feet long and involved complicated reinforcement for lateral stability. Nicholson and Galloway was contracted to perform the following work:
- 200 linear feet of steel plating at the base and top of the structure
- 800 feet of horizontal joint reinforcement
- 500 feet of 3/4″ threaded rod
- 1220 units of terracotta installed
