John Jay College

Description
Constructed in 1903 as a public high school and designed by Charles Snyder, this Neo-Gothic building was the largest high school in the City when built. Now the home of John Jay College, the facade was deteriorating and Nicholson & Galloway was contracted for exterior repairs as follows:
- 1,400 terracotta units replaced
- Brick and limestone replacement and repointing
- 9,000 Square feet of masonry chemical cleaning
- 3,500 Square feet of masonry water mist cleaning
- 9,000 Linear feet of sealant joint replacement
- 800 Linear feet of lead coated copper cornice flashing
- 3 Skylights replaced
