Description

Between 2008 and 2013 Nicholson & Galloway performed a 40 million dollar exterior restoration of the South and East elevations of this iconic Museum.

  • Both facades were cleaned 100% with Rotec Vortex system
  • All stone joints were repointed and Stone Dutchman repairs were performed
  • Extensive stone Dutchman repairs
  • 400 new mahogany wood windows
  • South port cochere rebuilt and waterproofed
  • Main entrance steps waterproofed and reconstructed
  •  Selective roofs replaced with Siplast and Sikalastic systems
  • Granite statues and bas-reliefs were also cleaned and restored
  • Bronze entrance restored
  • Existing driveways were replaced with new concrete
  • New bollard security system installed
