Cathedral St. John the Divine

Description
Designed by architects Heins & LaFarge and constructed between 1893 and 1911, the Cathedral is a New York City Landmark and by some measures; the largest Cathedral in the World. The original roof over the Chancel and Alter was a copper batten seam roof and after one hundred years of use Nicholson & Galloway was hired to replace it. The year project included the following work:
- 16,000 square feet of furring and plywood substrate
- 10,000 linear feet of wood batten installation
- 16,000 Vaporshield vapor barrier installation
- 16,000 square feet of copper batten seam roofing
- 260 linear feet of copper gutters
- 330 linear feet of brass snow guards
- 142 new copper stampings replicating the original pieces
