Description

Built in 1884, this historic Cathedral is the seat of the Long Island Episcopal Archdiocese and is on the National Register of Historic Places. After one-hundred and thirty years of exposure the Baptistry Spire was extremely unstable and deteriorated and Nicholson & Galloway was hired to perform the following restoration work:

  • Dismantle and salvage 30 foot tall brownstone spire
  • 140 pieces of new cast stone on spire
  • 20 brownstone dutchmen
  • 300 square feet of copper roofing
