Columbia University Pupin Hall

Description
Built in 1927, Pupin Hall is a National Landmark because of the groundbreaking work performed there in splitting the atom for the Manhattan Project. The building houses Columbia’s Physics and Astronomy Departments and in 2015 Nicholson & Galloway was hired to perform the following work:
- 530 linear feet of cornice and gutter replacement
- Salvage and replication of copper stampings
- Salvage, restoration and reinstallation of copper lion stampings
- Micro-abrasive cleaning historic copper
- Installation of new gutter drains
- Installation of new gutter armature and sheathing
- Installation of new copper stampings
- Installation of new underlayment membrane and copper gutter liner
