Details: In a continuation of our 75 year relationship with Rockefeller University, Nicholson & Galloway was retained to waterproof the new Peggy Rockefeller Memorial Plaza and Fountain.

Working in a very constricted site and under an intense schedule, Nicholson & Galloway scarified approximately 3,000 square feet of original waterproofing to clean concrete and proceeded to install over 25,000 square feet of Siplast’s Terranap Waterproofing System on the flat areas and over 5,000 square feet of flashings on vertical surfaces.

The waterproofing of the Plaza included coordination and flashing of three-hundred electrical, plumbing and HVAC penetrations.

At the completion of each area of the Plaza waterproofing, dams were installed and forty-eight hour flood tests were performed to confirm the quality of the work.

Upon completion of the project, the Owner was provided with a Twenty Year Labor and Material Warranty. As always, all work was supervised and performed by Nicholson & Galloway’s own personnel.
